Combustible. Gives off
irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.

NO open flames. NO contact
with water and active chemicals.

Powder, carbon dioxide. Use
water ONLY in flooding amounts.

EXPLOSION |
Closed containers may
develop pressure and explode on exposure to heat or if contaminated with water or reactive
chemicals.
|
|
In case of fire: cool
drums, etc., by spraying with water but avoid contact of the substance with water. Combat
fire from a sheltered position.

INHALATION |
Abdominal pain. Cough.
Nausea. Shortness of breath. Sore throat. Vomiting. Symptoms may be delayed (see
Notes).

Local exhaust. Breathing
protection.
|
Fresh air, rest.
Half-upright position. Artificial respiration if indicated. Refer for medical attention.
|
SKIN |
Redness. Burning
sensation. Pain.
|
Protective gloves.
Protective clothing.
|
Rinse and then wash skin
with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
|
EYES |
Redness. Pain. Blurred
vision.
|
Face shield or eye
protection in combination with breathing protection.
|
First rinse with plenty of
water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a
doctor.

INGESTION |

Do not eat, drink, or smoke
during work.
|
Rinse mouth. Give a slurry
of activated charcoal in water to drink. Refer for medical attention.
