The substance decomposes on heating or on burning producing toxic and corrosive fumes
including hydrogen chloride, hydrogen cyanide, nitrogen oxides and phosgene. Reacts with
strong bases to form 2,6-Dichlorobenzamide.

The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol, through the
