ILS for judges and lawyers

In order to build harmonious systems of labour relations, ILS are an important point of reference for national legislations. However, the potential of international labour law to this objective is not limited to labour legislation. ILS can also contribute to strengthen domestic case law in labour matters.

International labour law offers highly valuable instruments to national judges and lawyers to resolve labour disputes. ILS, together with the international case law, are a matchless source of inspiration and interpretation to them.

We, accordingly, encourage the advanced training of judges, lawyers and law teachers to enable them to use the sources of international labour law at the domestic level.
