TYPES OF
HAZARD/
EXPOSURE
ACUTE HAZARDS/
SYMPTOMS
PREVENTION FIRST AID/
FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Liquid formulations containing organic solvents may be flammable. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.

Alcohol-resistant foam, dry sand, powder, carbon dioxide. NO water.
EXPLOSION The explosion hazard will depend on the solvent used in the formulation.

In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water but NO direct contact with water.

EXPOSURE
PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! PREVENT GENERATION OF MISTS!

INHALATION Irritation of upper respiratory system.
Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest.
SKIN Irritation. Facial skin sensations.
Protective clothing. Proper application techniques.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap.
EYES Irritation.
Safety goggles, face shield.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
INGESTION Liquid formulation can be aspired into the lungs resulting in chemical pneumonitis. Tremors. Convulsions.
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating, drinking or smoking.
Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Absorb remaining liquid in lime, damp saw dust, sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Do NOT wash away into sewer.
Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from food and feedstuffs. Cool. Keep in a well-ventilated room.
Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.
