TYPES OF
HAZARD/
EXPOSURE
ACUTE HAZARDS/
SYMPTOMS
PREVENTION FIRST AID/
FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.
NO open flames.
Powder, water spray, foam, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Finely dispersed particles form explosive mixtures in air.
Prevent deposition of dust; closed system, dust explosion-proof electrical equipment and lighting.

EXPOSURE
PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST! PREVENT GENERATION OF MISTS!
IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
INHALATION
Local exhaust or breathing protection.
Fresh air, rest. Refer for medical attention.
SKIN
Protective gloves.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
EYES Redness. Pain.
Safety goggles.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
INGESTION
Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers; if appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
Separated from strong oxidants, acids.

PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
BROWN SOLID IN VARIOUS FORMS , WITH CHARACTERISTIC ODOUR.

CHEMICAL DANGERS:
The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic and irritating fumes including nitrogen oxides (see also ICSC # 0930). Reacts with strong acids and strong oxidants.

OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
TLV not established.

ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and by ingestion.

INHALATION RISK:
Evaporation at 20°C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly on spraying or when dispersed, especially if powered.

EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
The substance irritates the eyes. The substance may cause effects on the central nervous system , resulting in tremors, excitement and respiratory depression.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
PHYSICAL
